L’Ormarins is a historic wine estate in Franschhoek, South Africa, founded in 1694 by Huguenot settler Jean Roy, named after Lourmarin in Provence . Acquired by Dr Anton Rupert in 1968, it was restored and refocused in 1989 by his son Anthonij Rupert. After Anthonij’s death in 2001, Johann Rupert took over, constructing a state-of-the-art gravity-fed cellar and underground barrel hall in 2004, also bringing on board oenologist Michel Rolland
