Product information
Sekt usually comes from Germany or Austria, while Champagne comes exclusively from the Champagne region of France. Cava is primarily from Spain. The main differences lie in their origin, grape varieties, and production methods — particularly the fermentation process. Champagne and high-quality Cava are traditionally fermented in the bottle, which gives them a particularly fine effervescence and makes them suitable for aging. Sekt varies more widely. Here, you’ll find exclusively artisanal-quality wines.
Cool, dark, and as vibration-free as possible — those are the basic rules. A constant temperature between 10 and 15 °C is ideal. Bottles should be stored lying down if they have natural corks. A cellar or wine climate cabinet is ideal, but a quiet spot in your home can also suffice, as long as there are no significant temperature fluctuations.
